Late Mr. K, a humble and passionate journalist at his late 20s; working in a leading Chinese newspaper company, one late night in 2017, I received his urgent call asking my help to solve an urgent will for his relative who comes down from Gua Musang, Kelantan for eye intraocular cancer treatment in IKN, Putrajaya. I still remember the night is heavy raining and I purposely drive all the way to Sungai Chua, Kajang, and get his uncleβs wishes done.
The simple will done effectively and fast in three daysβ time; before I leave their premises, I sincerely advise Mr. K to write his will too, as he has 2 little boys and his wife is pregnant at that time. And he is the sole family breadwinner. He sincerely and politely acknowledges the importance of it and he will plan to catch up with me on the matter when he is ready.
The tragedy kick in 2 weeks after I met him, I received a call from his manager, he was killed in a hit-and-run road accident while going to the office. His manager has queried me why I am not helping Mr. K getting his will done, I am emotionally frustrated; sad, and speechless at that time over this incident.
I deeply regret and self-blame myself till today over this incident, for not pushing him hard to get his will done on that time. The sorrowing widow was helpless, and it takes years to unlock the estate from the deceased name; Mrs. K moves back to her hometown to continue her life till now.
There is no man in the world who can immortal, therefore itβs good we always start to plan ahead regardless of what is our life cycle and market condition now
